A small interview today on the kings of the sock, I appointed Archduchess.
Batiste replied to my questions by email and I tested in parallel / ordered two pairs of socks on the site.
Firstly I would like to know how did the project "Archduchess" while you were already in the sale of ready to wear with "Strawberry" I want say why not sell socks on the site of Strawberry?
So let me answer on behalf of Patrice on this issue. Patrice sold Lafraise.com Spreadshirt to society in 2006, the concept of Archduchess was not yet a well-defined, more an idea, "why not?". Why not selling socks on laFraise? The concept of the site was already strong enough in itself for not having to turn to other products, either socks or other lafraise.com brought together a large community of designers and enthusiasts of t- shirts, it was no use of "Contaminate" the site with other products that do not fall necessarily in the idea that Patrice had of lafraise.com .
Is it something completely new? And especially why socks?
Well, no "sock" is not a completely new idea, but the idea of Archiduchesse.com was born after finding both in trade deals than traditional e-commerce , limited choice of colors. It still quite often around a few basics: black, gray, white, red, with rare exceptions. And the idea actually very simple to Archduchess is this: what if we offered socks, good qualities and a wide choice of colors? We're in 42 different colors, three patterns of socks (city, Terry and Gambetta) and a selection of fancy socks, a little over a year of existence of Archiduchesse.com , I find that c is not bad at all.
Being a French brand that does not outsource its production it is an asset on which you play?
The "Made in France" is clearly an asset for a lot of our customers and for us too. Our manufacturer, textile Broussaud, installed around Limoges, and ourselves maintain a special relationship, it is almost all familiar terms, it is called by our first names and try to work in the same direction to change Archiduchesse.com. I'm not sure we would have the same relationship with a manufacturer based in Turkey or India, apart from the problem of language, less flexibility in deliveries, delays in manufacturing, although honestly, it would be much more interesting financially speaking, have made outside France.

Ha good question! The Gambetta are a brand new model, already expected to have some feedback before launching in expanding the range, but if all goes well, there is no reason why we do not offer a update the "Gambetta" in both sizes.

Side Order it goes pretty well. I bought the socks on Friday afternoon. Two pairs "Terry" a pattern Red and Arlene Oliver and green chartreuse.
The order was shipped that day and I received my package on Tuesday morning. Good surprise for the waiting time it was very short. In the package there are what? The two pairs of socks with a user manual on their packaging (small cartoon), a sticker on the brand image and total ecstasy, the detail in which melts my heart, two small packets of sweets ( and not even chocolate!).
Verdict they are really soft and comfortable to wear, they have saved my feet yesterday (day snow). My brother is downright jealous. The next order will be for the whole family.
